Therapy is play- and activity-based with an emphasis on caregiver education and coaching.
ABA therapy is many times recommended to parents when a child is experiencing behavioral difficulties and parents are reporting frustrations. In the state of Florida, more often than not, insurance will not cover ABA therapy unless a child has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
We at BYC see patients who have this diagnosis often. However, we also believe that children who do not have this diagnosis, do not present as Autistic, but are struggling with behaviors, or who are at the beginning of their journey in finding answers during some tumultuous times, can often benefit from the direction, recommendations and assistance from a behavior therapist.
